I am just shy of begging: PLEASE! PLEASE! Leave the streamer info constantly readable!! I had to reload the save have almost 2 dozens times just to keep being told i STILL hadn't figured out what the girl with the blue ears - who isn't the racing girl - liked playing. Like, give hints of something when we're wrong but like .... a sheer mass of random almost-accurate games? and NO remainders nor indicators of who's tastes match what is simply an unplayable game. to navigate. I don't want to spend more time playing where's waldo when I don't even remember what waldo looks like and also the one time i was shown waldo was while I was shown 4 other more interesting waldo look-alikes. please! mercy!
Ideally, the entire game would use a proper chat-sim interface so that you could go back and see previous chats/emails.
Then, to give hints in case an incompatible game is chosen, they could at least say "I don't like [genre here] games." rather than the generic line. Even better, each VTuber would have entirely separate bad-ending routes over a much longer game loop that would more naturally help you manage their lives and career on top of the main story.
As you can imagine, this scope is far too large to accomplish in a month-long game jam but *if* I did revisit this concept in the future I would consider it.
For now, I can only offer a "hack" solution and that would be to save the game during the recruitment screen so you could go back to it. If you just want 100% completion then you can look at my reply below which says "STREAM MECHANIC SPOILERS BELOW". In any case, you would still be able to finish the main story.
Again, I appreciate you taking the time to make your comment and I pretty much agree with you completely but due to scheduling and creative interest, I would rather remake the entire game than make new updates 😅
Completely understandable. And though I've barely gotten past day 2 I can tell this has a lot of content so I'm surprised it was done in just a month. Oh! smart move rotating the flat images.
How exactly DID you do that? I don't think I've that in an itch game before. Was it an animation effect that depends on what game engine you develop with?
That was a fucking ride and a half, oh LORD. I was a fool to think this would just be some parody commentary on the vtubing industry... but what I got was possibly the greatest piece of fiction I've seen in a VN in a good few weeks.
samgrace was a VA in this too! I loved their work in KillerChat!
GGs CuteShadow you really did something special here.
I could probably spend hours scrolling through the games list on its own hahah...
The characters were really endearing! In general, from what I saw the interactions with your new hires are all really endearing! (Plz protect Kenna!!) Casey's motivations perplexed me a bit, but over time they made more sense.
This story overall is WILD, and in the end I honestly enjoyed it~
Hi, I'm also commenting here, but woah! This was such a fun game :DD
You've probably heard my yap already, but I'll write it more coherently here :wheeze:
I love the UI design, especially how the screen bends a bit like an old TV. And the stream selection page was so cool too!
Also, the use of camera movements, transforms, etc. to counter the lack of assets is very effective! I especially love the scene with the CEO of the other company and the blur on the sprite in the back! (Sorry I'm trying to be as non-spoiler-y as possible LMAO)
The story and the mystery with the doxxing was also fun to read and make theories for as I played. Always a sign of a good story when it has you cooking up conspiracies HAHA
Heyhoo, the concept is sooo interesting but sadly, picking a game to play for your talents is a absolute pain in the a. Like you don't see the names at the frames unless you click on them and can't even switch in the rows to see more games. So you have to click on a randome one and return and reenter to have a chance that the game u actually want appears near your already selected game. It's such a hussle for a important game mechanic that rates your success at the end of the day. Pls fix this, so I can come back to this game another time. Cause like already mentioned the concept is sooooo good. Sankyouu.^^
Hi, this is Justinn! I like your suggestion and I would consider adding a search bar to the stream scheduler if I wasn't so busy right now :(
For now, if you want to quickly cycle through the random games, you can spam the return button without having to select a new game.

There's only three game genres (horror, action, and romance) so at any point there should be more than enough games to assign the right one to each VTuber. This only affects their side-stories so even if you get this wrong the main plot will continue as there are no dead ends.
Meeli's actually a freebie so any game will work with her but now you're wondering why there's only 3 genres if you can hire 4 different VTubers; well sometimes it doesn't matter how hard one works they will always fail :(
Played the Android build . The UI, moving sprites and the effects was really cool. Story was interesting and wasn't as scary as I expected ( good for me because I'm a scaredy cat). Also was it just my imagination or there was something meta there?

Very slick character art and animation, charming and spritely music, and polished and engaging gameplay--excellent work to the team! ✨

Yeah, it must have been your imagination🙃
We enjoyed this game a lot! The animations and UI are stand-out. Aisha is so fun!
How intriguing
